I work full time , 5 days out of 7. I get 4 weeks hol plus bank hols. My employer says I am entitled to only 4 weeks hols but no bank hols. I think I am because isn't the minimum 25 days a year? Please, tell me I'm right and more importantly how to prove it to my very scary boss!

I got all the bank holidays back when I was on maternity leave. I got them when I returned to work and they were added to my accrued annual leave. I couldn't add them onto my mat leave.

You are entitled to all your contractual benefits including paid leave accrued throughout maternity leave.

But in any case, 4 weeks plus bank holidays is the statutory minimum holiday entitlement, which is 5.6 weeks, equating to 28 days for people working 5 days a week. That's all you get currently so you are entitled to all of it.
