What would you do - awaiting response to job interview and now see 'my' job readvertised as part-time

I'm anxiously awaiting the result of a 2nd interview for a job I really want. But I now see on the company website that they are re-advertising the job, only this time as a part-time job. They did mention in the interview that they might want to make the job a part-time one but this was not discussed at all. I would be very willing to take the job on a part time basis. Should I contact the HR person to say WTF?? that I noticed the new ad and that I would be happy to work part time ? Or will I just irritate them ?

Do I have to accept this means I didnt get the job ? My one hope is that they want to offer me the job part time but need to advertise it as such before they can legitimately offer it to me...I know it's a bit of a wild hope but do you think it could possibly, just maybe, be true ?

I really need this job. Please cross fingers for me.

I think you should contact the HR dept. They will let you know what's happening and can put you out of your misery. If the worst comes to the worst you can at least get come feedback from them about the interview which may come in useful if you need to do any future interviews. Good luck, hope it goes ok.
