Made redundant, starting to panic!

Please can anybody tell me how much income support i would be entitled to if i cant find another job quickly enough. I have been made redundant after 12 years working part time and will be looking at around £1400 redundancy pay. Its just me and my DD who is 14, her father is long gone(he offers no support, financially or emotionally to her) so up until now i have received child/working tax credit, housing and council tax benefit. Does income support still exist?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Couldn't just read and run. While DD is under 16/in full time education you will be able to claim various benefits, you can find out, anonymously if you like, using a widget on the Benefits Agency website. So sorry to hear you've been made redundant, good luck finding a new job.
