I am on maternity leave.I am a single parent and my ex has warned me off going to the CSA. I work for the NHS. My pay is only income not entitled to benefits.. .

I have been paid sat mat pay this month £560 ( March ). However I was due to be paid annual leave this month which is much more and I need this after months of much less money. I rang Payroll this morning and they said ' oh yes I spoke to my boss about you...we thought you would notice the large drop in your pay'...'basically because your boss didn't send the correct forms you have been taxed differently and you won't get it back as it's the end of the financial year...sorry'

I am £350.00 worse of as my boss didn't send in correct forms. I know from my colleagues she refused to put in for the collection for the baby. She doesn't have kids and as I left for mat leave she said 'I wish I could have a year off to have a baby'......I can only afford to take 5 months. I am struggling now with feeling positive about my return to work. MMMM what to do ???

What do you mean, your ex has warned you off?!!! He's the father and if he has threatened you, you can take legal action. Whether he likes it or not, he has a duty to support his child.
It is rubbish to say you won't get the pay because it's the end of the financial year. Make an appointment with your local Human Resources professional and get them to sort this out for you and if you're in a union, get them involved. Good luck!

Thanks wiggins! I know I have another struggle on my hands regarding getting the proper pay. I could really do with the money now after a very thrifty maternity leave where basically everything except a few babygro's is second hand I am just so frustrated. I know I won't get the money and they will at most offer me annual leave :( . I just didn't want to rock the boat so soon after my return as my boss patently doesn't care about my welfare.

My ex already has a caution for assaulting me ( reason I am single parent). He lives close to me (I cannot afford to move) and does not want the CSA poking around in his tax returns and so he has made it very clear that he is not happy to support his daughter with me. The police would not really be able to do anything about threats. Anyway thanks for reminding me about HR.
