Can I save my childcare vouchers while on mat leave to use next year?

Hi I currently get £243 a month in childcare vouchers which we use to part-pay DD's 4 days a week in nursery. I'm currently expecting DC2 and intend to take 12 months mat leave from August. During mat leave, DD will stay home with me. My question is can I continue to receive childcare vouchers and save them up so I have a whole lot banked in advance of my return to work next year?

Hi there,

I did this throughout my mat leave and am now in £1000's of credit with nursery which is fabulous!

Yes, but you need to check the expiry dates - I seem to remember that they were valid for a year or so.

I did it between ds1 and ds2.
No such luck between ds2 and dd3 tho!!!
Check with your nursery if they are happy to do it.
