Hi
I work reduced hours and was told i have 12 days holidays for the year.
What I want to know is that 12 days holidays based on the 7.5 hour working day my firm has or is that 12 days holidays based on my working day which can vary between 5 and 6.5 hours. Does it go by an hourly rate in that I am entitled to 90 hours leave (12 * 7.5 hours) and then how it is used by my days is immaterial as I am working on a hourly leave scale.
My boss says they will get back to me but I want to know from a legal statutory basis what the basis is and what I am entitled to.
Based on an hourly basis, it would mean I am currently entitled to an additional 8.5 hours leave rather than my current leave balance of zero days left.
Thanks for all and any advice on this
Chablis
