hello,

i work in higher education on a temp contract for 11/2 yr , soon the role i m doing is going to be advertised soon ...do i have any right on this role?
my other issue is that my manager's manager keep on giving me extra work like reception covers without any consultation from my manager. i m already overloaded with my work n she expect me to do reception cover on top of that which is very busy .
i ve emailed her explaining but she is refusing to acknowledge. what can i do? i don't want to lose this job as that is not an option atm.

Sorry, not sure I quite understand what you are saying.

Are you on an 18 month fixed term contract that is due to end shortly? If so, you can re-apply for it in response to the advert but you don't have any right to it.

In terms of the extra work, you need to speak to your manager and tell her you are struggling to cope.
