Anyone return to work after taking out a grievance and things got better? Cannot give further info?

In a previous job, my deputy manager took out a grievance against our manager for bullying. Our manager was put on a disciplinary. They both carried on working together for several years after it was resolved. It was slightly awkward at times but they dealt with it OK.
