What's the longest you would expect to wait to hear the results of an interview?

I'm assuming after a week I haven't got the job but I still haven't had a letter - and no reply from email sent today -
is this normal or would you expect to have heard by now?

I agree you would normally expect to hear within a week. Perhaps you're their second choice and they've made an offer, but will offer to you if the other candidate declines

Thanks hermione so IANBU - just fed up - I would love to have a letter so i can just move on - not sure I'd want to work with such slow people anyway
