Can anyone recognise a good logo designer?

have been running a small business for a couple of years, but want to move up to the next level, and I think it would be worth paying someone to properly design a logo etc for me rather than play at it myself.

Just wondered if anyone had a particular recommendation? Tia.

Oops that should be 'recommend' in the title Blush.

Can't do links easily on iPad but you could try a website called logopond which features lots of designers. They usually have their contact details or at least a name you can google.

pinkmagic1 · 25/02/2012 22:56

My dad is a graphic designer. His website is www.emmo.co.uk

PaddingtonsMarmalade · 25/02/2012 23:06

Could try either Carol at PS Graphics (check out FB page www.facebook.com/pages/PS-Graphics/197145393635344?sk=info) - friendly and sensible prices

or Joe at F8 Creates (just google F8 Creates) - also v good prices and approachable

I should say I'm related to them both but they are both really, really good graphic designers too!!

Could I recommend myself? Not sure if this is allowed but ... if you like I could PM you with my website address, answer any questions you have and do a quote if you were interested.

Good luck with it, however you do it.

Shouldibuy · 26/02/2012 08:28

Thanks everyone - I was looking for personal recommendations, so more than happy for you to pm me NiceBiscuits and I'll have a look.

I will have a look at the other pages too - so much choice out there, its good to narrow it down by recommendations. Thanks.

Hi how exciting! I am a graphic designer with expertise in brand identity Grin

I'd love to see what I could do for you and send a web link your way - how about PM'ing me when you have a minute? Smile

joshandjamie · 27/02/2012 12:26

I work for a marketing company - we do everything from branding (including logos and stationery) to websites, social media, seo, crm, full marketing campaigns - with an emphasis on creativity that bring business benefits. I can send you a link to the company if you'd like to see work samples -just pm me

chelseamorning · 27/02/2012 14:18

I've worked with a lot of designers, including on my own company's branding. In my experience, it helps to find a designer whose work you like, not just admire, and someone who can quickly relate to you, your personality, your business and your aspirations. A good designer should be able to do all these things.

The design process has to be economical as well as fruitful, and there's no point in paying for a design which merely looks good but which doesn't give your message.

Good luck, Shouldibuy. Exciting!

Dozeyland · 27/02/2012 14:48

waves looking for this too, what are the pricing ranges?

NiceBiscuits · 27/02/2012 21:49

Dozeyland , regarding pricing ranges, you can get a logo via an internet company for as little as £25, and then it goes up from there.

Alternatively, if you choose a designer who will take the time to create something original and bespoke to your own business and message (as chelseamorning mentioned) it will be more than this.

If you like I could PM you with a link to my website, and if you were interested, answer any questions and do a quote for you.

Or if you have any general questions about the design process, I am more than happy to chat about them here!

Dozeyland · 27/02/2012 22:03

Nicebiscuit that would be great thanks :)

NiceBiscuits · 27/02/2012 22:10

Have PM'd you Dozeyland
