I've got a meeting on Monday with my employer. I was going to tell them I'm not returning from mat leave and I was going to study. May leave ends at the end of April.

Last night I found out in pg again!

So now considering returning to work for two days a week and starting maternity leave again as soon as possible.

Any experience in this? Anything I should know? Wasn't ping to tell employer I'm of again, is that ok? What mat pay would I get? If any? I've been with the company 7 years.

Any help or advice much appreciated!!

You don't have to tell them you are PG yet. I would set about negotiating your part time return.

You should get the same mat pay you did last time, well, the same percentage of your pay - if you worked full-time last time but work part-time this time the actual amount will be less (but can't be less than statutory maternity pay, which is something like £127 a week). I agree with portofino, I would go back and not tell them straightaway. But tell them soonish and make out that's when you found out you're pregnant!

I worked 20 hours over five days last time. Now I'd be working about 12.5 over the weekend. So I would be earning less than I would get on mat pay. Is that right?

Yes, assuming you're not on megabucks per hours :)

D'oh! Per hour.

I went back to work 10 wks pg after a year off with my first. Fortunately my employer is very flexible and I went back to work full time but used my accrued annual leave to take two days off every week. This was all negotiated before I went back to work and I told them that I was pg after my scan. So I managed to go off on my second mat leave with full-time benefits. Due back to work in June and not looking forward to it - but I think its a bit soon for DC3!!
