Do I have to tell them I am currently in leave? It not an interview but a written test, not sure of tge rest of the process. When they called to arrange I wasn't sure whether to say yes I can cone anytime or not. I didn't put it on my cv that's correct isn't it. I do have a gap on my cv what's tge best way to say why. I was made redundant so think they will assume it was due to finding a job. It was about a year. The reason was small child plus dying parent.

don't say unless asked directly, then tell the truth.
if it's juyst a test shouldn't think they will; but you never know.

DON'T mention you are on maternity leave! And they shouldn't ask either.. You may be asked what date you would be available to begin work if your application is successful, again don't mention maternity leave (ie DON'T say 'I can't start until xxx because I'm on maternity leave) just name the date. In an ideal world employers wouldn't discriminate but realistically they find ways around it, but that would be a whole other thread... Good luck with your application
