I just want to make doubly sure of this: if I sign a fixed-term contract (for example, for 12 months), can I leave before the 12 months is up if I give sufficient notice? Or am I obliged to work the whole 12 months?
Just to be clear, it's not that I don't want to work the full 12 months, I just want to know how much flexibility there is when I'm searching for the next job towards the end of the contract.
