...and am still quaking slightly. It's for a FT job in journalism. He did most of the talking, going through my CV etc, asking a few questions about my experience, perception of the job etc. I did my best, I think, but there was LOADS I didn't say!!

Will have to wait til he does more interviews next week, then there will be 3 or 4 people for face-to-face interviews.

Aaargh! I think I'm very well suited to the job, but I don't know if I've got that across, other than (slightly nauseatingly) saying that I was very excited about the position coming up!

And now I'm worried that I was a bit vague about my freelance work and didn't push my best qualities or how much I knew about their output...Confused

And I'm not even going to go into the whole thing of whether or not I SHOULD take it, if it gets that far (it's 9-5 with the possibility of changing to shifts in the future; I'm currently PT freelance with 2 DDs 5yo and almost 2yo) because it would be a massive change in lifestyle/organisation/childcare arrangements...Just trying to push all that to the back of my mind.

Not really looking for help or advice I suppose - just trying to get all this out of my brain and share it with somebody - I've not told anyone else about the job in RL, apart from DH, as I've had to have the 'I didn't get it' conversation too many times Sad

Not very helpful but as an employer I find telephone interviews very difficult. They're always much more stilted and formulaic. Do hope it comes through for you.

Thanks, this one seemed like he was just checking through my CV and asking a few questions about my motivation, not too indepth. Think I definitely prefer face-to-face - I think you can sell yourself better in a meeting rather than on the phone. Still, an interesting experience. Still waiting to see if it's done the trick...
