Where do I find out about regulations for selling?

Thinking of setting up a business to sell some goods which will not be handmade, but will effectively be created by me. Not sure where to look to find out what, if anything, I have to adhere to. The product would be aimed at kids, but more like age 3+, as no small parts, but seems easier.

Let me know if you have any experience of these things.

How will you be selling the goods? You may need to look at the distance selling regulations

was hoping for places like craft fairs/boot fairs as well as ebay, maybe amazon and from a website.

Have you tried etsy and folksy? (usual HQ disclaimers apply)
I think regs will depend on what you're actually selling whether you need food hygiene/safety certificates etc.
HTH and good luck
