Got an interview tomorrow, but dont feel like i want to go into this sector again...

I was working in telesales in my last position, I am currently looking for a admin job. But I have been speaking to a recruitment lady who has been really helpful and seems like she is working really hard to get my Cv out there.

he keeps putting me forward for more telesales roles and now I have got a interview tomorrow. She said it will involve admin but telesales as well and cold calling.

I am going to go along to the interview to see if it does involve admin. But I'm just wondering how honest do you think I should be? as i really dont want to do telesales again.

If you don't want to do Telesales again then tell the woman at the recruitment agency. It's not difficult. Some recruitment agencies will push you into anything if you let them. Their primary motivation is their commission at the end of the month not your job satisfaction. [cynical emoticon]

Holding out for the right admin job might take you longer so be patient if you can. Having said that, if you can cope with a dual telesales/admin role this might be a good route in for you. Jobs are a bit harder to come by at the moment so it might be worth being a bit more open minded.

I was in your position and have just spent 6 months trying to get an admin job that fitted with family commitments, I also did telesales and didnt want to do that any more. I applied for 160 jobs!and have just got a good admin job that i know i will be happy in. tell rec company exactly what you want, you need to be happy, also weigh up how quickly you need to be earning or can you be choosy. best of luck. :)

Thank you both for the replies. I went along to see if it was admin/telesales, but turned out to be just telesales, but seems much more relaxed then my last company.

lorri - 160 wow thats alot, i have been applying for quite a few, but have not counted . I'm glad you have finally found a job you like .
