Working PT- do work have to give me the same days when I return from ML?

I'm on ML with DD2. I've been working pt since DD1- 3 days a week. The days were mutually agreed when I was off last time. I've got my childcare sorted for DD2 and I'm slightly concerned that work might try to change my days. I'm tempted not to confirm it with them as they're the kind of place where if you look at all accomodating they'll take advantage. But if you stand your ground, they'll accept it.

So, do they have the right to change days, or can I return to exactly the same hours?

What does your contract specify? I'd be tempted to email them and just find a way to mention the days, eg 'first week back I will see you on wed, thur and fri' and if they don't come back to you and say anything else then you should be fine.

You need to check your contract, if it's not stated in there they can change your days but only after HR meetings to advise of a change in T&C's.

Why would they want to change your hours? I would assume a ML returner would return on same days and hours as before unless they applied for flexible working.
