I'm going back to work in March but have started some keeping in touch days in the last week. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go back to work but now I've had a taste I'm actually really looking forward to it. I was afraid I'd forgotten everything but it all comes back really quickly.

I think when they are this young you get a bit weary, it's nice to go out for the day and be able to think about your own timetable, and finish a cup of tea while it's still hot! That and lunchtime chats with colleagues, i miss those.

My DD is 7 months old, we're planning on trying again in the not too distant future...I think employers expect that these days.

I don't think you necessarily get help if you're not working, it depends on your income as a family, chances are if one of you is working you won't get anything (found that out while my husband was unemployed some years ago).
