Starting to look at going back to work after 5 years as sahm, have seen a couple of jobs for the local council which would be ideal, now they need two references, my old employer has agreed to be one as has the father of my oldest friend, have know him over twenty years and he also used to work for the council which am hoping will be a bonus, only problem is that job form has specified no family / friends as references, technically speaking he is not a friend but finding it very hard to think of the right way to phrase the relationship on the form. Any ideas?
