Hello everyone,
I am 31 and registered for ACCA.I passed the first paper(f1) and preparing for the next one.I know its too early but I would want to work in the related field as I dont have the relavant experience.I was just wondering how to get my first accounts job..Is anyone studying ACCA out there?
Thanks in advance..

Hi! Congratularions on passing youe exam. Im acca qualified and there are a few ways of getting into a good finance role. I work in industry and got my first as a trainee clerk in a small company. My colleagues who didn't come in on the graduate track generally started in purchase ledger in a larger company before applying for an internal role.

What do you do now? Do you have any office experience?

Hi notquitenormal,
Thanku so much...it felt so good passing my first exam.. I have been made redundant as an office clerk.Dont want to jump into something too quick.I would really love to get into the field cos it would help me with my exams as well..Do you think a couple more papers would show the employers my committment or try to get something now?
