Hi can someone please help. Currently on mat leave and dept I work for are restructuring.... My manager wrote to me this morning just saying that our team are not taking on/not being given any new projects and that things aren't looking good.... My question is I'm on no pay mat leave right now, I go on annual leave for 33 days from 17 feb and am due back to work on April 2nd. What process/time period should this process take? I'm trying to understand how long I have left before I get no pay.

Also, I have worked for NHS for ten years with just over A six month gap which was in 2009, what sort of redundancy would I get?

Thank you anyone who can help:(

www.direct.gov.uk/redundancy.dsb

This link gives you your minimum entitlements in a redundancy situation.

If you had a gap in service then your length of service will start from 2009 - so you'll have 2-3 yrs service.

In terms of how long the process will take , it will depend.

Have you been put officially "at risk" ?

If there is a suitable alternative postavailable
With your employer during a redundancy process and while you are on maternity leave then you are entitled to be offered it over and above other candidates.

Stop panicking!!!! It isn't a done deal yet.

Can you answer my question - have you been informed that you are at risk of redundancy?

You are technically employed full time now - maternity leave counts as being in employment.

What was the six month gap for in 2009? That might make a difference to length of service.

Also, what is your notice period?
