Care?? Help

So i have just went for a knew job in care and people are putting me off now saying things and its making me edgy about it now. I understand it wont be easy looking after the older generation but shouldnt that be my decision? Is there anyone that does do care that can put my mind at ease a bit??

is this community care or a care home? i got a job in a care home after going for interview and telling myself i could never do that but i throughly enjoyed it and can be very rewarding as you are the family to some of these people as some have no visitors and you may be the only person they see.
However there are also minuses(but there are in every job destiny) that care homes dont seem to pay a lot, but we r not there for the money and they can be extremly short staffed as care homes have a high staff turnover which can be stressful but as i say it can be very rewarding and i guarntee you will become attached. I now work at the hosp but the carehome job gave me the exp i needed to do a job i love even more x
