Flexible working

I have spoke to my ward manager about when I go bk to work. I normally fo three long days a week n asked if two of these could b the same a week and one at the weekend and he has refused this. What r my rights? R there childminders that cud b this flexible? Gutted!

I can't understand the detail of your post either, though I gather it is about variable shift patterns?

If so, it might be worth talking to other workers with children to see where they send their children in order to work. I use a nursery bases on hospital grounds - and they're set up to accommodate variable shifts. We are given a requirements for to return each month for the following month, so you would just need to know your shifts one month ahead (I guess they've set their dates up around the hospital),

I understand that it is difficult for you to not have set shifts, but if they let everyone with children pick true shifts, the childless staff would end up with all the worst shifts! You can see that wouldn't be fair, right?
