if you work part time or odd days for instance.? i know you have to self certify for the first 7 days - is that the first 7 days in total or the first 7 working days?

i got sent home sick half way through a working week, which for me is 6 days. so i had 3 days off sick.
then i had my normal 4 days off.
i should go back tomorrow, but i still cannot sit down after a fall down stairs, so i think i will need to take a few more days, as i cannot sit down to drive.

do i need to get a doctors sick note?
i have taken 3 working days off, but the period of sickness would be 6 days in total tomorrow.
im confused as to how this works...can anyone clear it up for me please?

First 7 says in total including weekends or usual days off ie the first 7 consecutive days you are Ill. You need a doctors note after that so yes go and see your doc.
