Colleague called yesterday to find out who my secret santa was for the Christmas party, Told her I hadn't been invited.
Then this evening I got an email from the boss asking me to call tomorrow as we 'need to talk about your job'
I have a very bad feeling about all this. Can they just sack me? Just like that?

Terra, so glad you got a good result but Sad we couldn't hear the details although I understand why !

Just out of interest what would have happened if you had refused the confidentiality bit?

Obviously no point if it would lose your payout but just curious what the procedure is?

I'm a bit Angry that his "good reputation" is still intact but hopefully he's a bit wiser in correct procedure now.

Well done for staying the course, you are a brave lady & enjoy every penny of the payout.

Spoil yourselves as well as having some sensible spends I hope! Grin

Hi Jess, I would suggest you start your own post in employment about this. You are entitled to return to your old job, but it looks like you want to change your working hours/pattern? Your company have to consider this, generally you need to make a formal request to change and then you are called into a meeting to discuss this. Possibly this is the meeting they have asked you to go to.

Although reading this back the dates are a while ago - are you on sick leave?

Jessicacoop89 · 21/08/2012 09:41

Yes, still on leave as i have got worse. Generally i do not feel i am ready to return yet, im just confused about the payslip and p60 situation. I have a gut feeling that he has dismissed me and not told me.

Should i repost these in a new discussion?

Also, katemiddleton is amazing! And everyone is so helpful its nice to know so many people care about others x

Jessica,
I would start your own thread on this.

I would also ask MN to delete your first post, as there is a fair amount of personal detail - your name, your boss' name, your child's name etc.

Jessicacoop89 · 22/08/2012 13:16

Who is mn? I have started new thread.

Thanks for ur advice x

BerylStreep · 22/08/2012 15:20

MN is mumsnet. If you click on the right upper corner of each post, there is a link called 'report'. You can click on that and ask MN to delete the post.

I am always wary, particularly in 'employment' of putting too much detail in posts. If your employer found it, and identifies the post as yours, it could create problems.

Good luck with your situation.
