Has anyone else got a Barclays Business account?

And is it worth the monthly fee of £14.50 plus VAT?

I had a meeting with one of their business advisors this morning and he was promoting all the extras that go with this account e.g. bookkeeping software, data backup, legal manager, e-learning and a years subscription to moonfruit.

I am starting up a new business as a sole trader offering a service and am not sure if I really need all these extras. Can anyone help?

and then get the free account through the co-op

These packaged accounts are generally not worth it. It gives the bank lots of reasons to sell you more things you don't need! Keep it simple and cheap!

I just set up a new ltd co and it comes with a Barclays cashback deal
the nice man called me and told me that they could help me with the book keeping
the business is accounting ffs!
I'll stick to a free account I think
