Hi, My first post!!
My DD has just started school and Im desperate to get back to work but have had no replies to my applications. Been looking for more than 6 months and have spruced up my CV. I completed my Art and Design foundation this year and started a part-time (2 eves and alternate saturdays) fashion degree at a prestigious fashion college for which I am being sponsored. I worked as a fashion/costume stylist before DD came along but my work is now completely out of date.
Prob with stylist job - erratic hours/travel so I have been looking at just about everything. P/t work - p/t study seems the best balance but Im beginning to think I may have to look at f/t - prob here is I will never be at home if I continue my studies and childcare would be astrinomical (single parent so no help from other parent and no child support so financially destitute).
I really don't want to give up my studies because it is the best future for me and DD but finding work is proving tricky. Considering self employment but afraid of not earning enough and not yet sure what I will sell or how!!
I keep thinking "FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY" but then I see my DD and think can I risk it.
Just putting this out there because Im sooooo confused!!
