I had started a thread in chat [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/1340679-Fuck-I-cant-take-any-more?msgid=28427228#28427228 here]] to rant as I was so stressed about it. Someone suggested that I may be able to get some advice here with the issue.

sorry if he is not working,is avaiable to work and isn't getting paid is he not claiming JSA and other benifits -presumably its is just that his redudancy payment is not coming through until January -which is rubbish of course - but perhaps I have misunderstood the thread

Minus273 · 14/11/2011 20:45

Problem is they had told him he wasn't entitled to anything not even contribution based JSA so without redundancy payment we are facing nothing. However someone today found information on entitilement with which we can argue with JCP.

who told you - so he has applied and been turned down - are you working?

Minus273 · 14/11/2011 20:54

I have a Saturday job but am on Mat leave. Was the contact centre, told us not to apply, said he hadn't been paying NI for long enough (17 years) have been advised of a way around that today by insisting the claim is entered and has to go to a decsion.

sounds very odd to me - I applied for JSA online - the benifit boards on moneysavings expert are pretty good
