Statutory Maternity Pay for fixed term contract ending in 23th week of pregnancy?

Hi Guys,
I'm working on fixed term contract from 1/1/2011 and currently I'm 14th weeks pregnant. My contact runs until 31/12/2011, so according to my math I will be in 23th week when the contract is finished. I know that it will not be renewed. Could anyone tell me is I'm eligible to get SMP (or I should be in the employment until 25th week) or I can't anything instead? I'm actively looking for new job, few interviews past, but so far nothing.

thank you for all your help

Sounds like you won't get SMP as that is employed for 6 months from 15 weeks before the EDD which to me makes that first week in Jan 2012. Check those dates carefully though!

You should however get MA instead of SMP which is the same just with the firs t 6 weeks at £128 ish rather than the 90% of salary.
