Who'd jump at the chance of ad hoc work in their profession if they could find it?

Feeling frustrated for all us mums out there. I seem to know a lot of us who are highly accomplished in our chosen fields. We're an uptapped resource!

So who else would relish the chance at ad hoc work (to fit around the kids), paid at a professional rate, to help out with the household bills?

I'm not proud, indeed, I've just been to the local Tesco store to see if they have any seasonal work (a big fat nothing) but I have a SKILL to offer! (PR, in case you were wondering, and agencies in my field seem to only want full-time or contract workers, which is more time than I can give.)

Better shut up now. Am I alone?

I so would. Right now I would do nearly anything. Day time is out as I have a 2yo and a 9mo but I'd happily sit at the computer at night and do data entry or whatever.

Here's hoping something might come up for both of us! Smile

I've been doing it for 13 years!

go for flexible regular - sounds posher than ad hoc

I am doing it, but am waiting on payment for the last 4 months work which is not ideal.

When it is all going well it is fab.....

Surely there must be a website or something out there where you can advertise yourself? Companies (esp smaller ones without in-house teams) often need ad hoc projects doing, would be ideal if they could tap into such a resource... there's a gap in the market there I would say!

have you tried www.peopleperhour.com - you can bid for ad hoc work.
