Income Tax on weekend work/2nd job

MissFoodie · 19/10/2011 15:18

I have a full time job and am paying 40% income tax, if, in addition to this, I do some weekend work, freelance, will my income tax on that income be 40% also (based on my full time job PLUS weekend job) or will it be rated separately to my full time job?

Any ideas???????

Thanks!!!!

40% I think , as your allowances have been used up on your ft job.

40%

sorry!

BUT
if you manage to make a "loss" on your freelance work, it can be offset against your PAYE bill
