Hi,
my partner is just over a year with his company as a project manager. They informed him a month ago that the branch is closing and gave him 'advance notice of the possibility of redundancy'. He is now in his consultancy period.
He has been asked if he is willing to stay until the end of the year to complete the major work involved in the ongoing projects, at which point the redundancy will kick in and someone from another branch will pick and complete the work. They have not confirmed this in writing despite promising to do so.
This sounds dodgy to me, what do you guys think?
