sole trader going into business with someone else

Bit of advice needed here and I am hoping one of you business minded people can help. Basically I am hoping to join up with another local mum and help her run her business. She is currently a sole trader. We are wondering how we can change the business to accommodate me. Can we be 2 x sole traders using the same company name or do we have to become a partnership or Ltd Co? Thanks

You would need to go into a partnership or start up a limited company. Suggest a visit to an accountant who will be able to discuss your personal circumstances and go through what is best for the two of you.
