Early pregnancy and job interviews

I have just found out I am very newly pregnant, have a job interview coming up and am looking for a bit of advice. To give you a bit of background, I have had two miscarriages in four months and sadly, am not too hopeful that this pregnancy will turn out to be a healthy one. My current job is temporary and part time meaning if the pregnancy does work out it is very unlikely that I would have a job to go back to if I was to go on maternity leave. The job I have an interview for is full time, permanent as far as I know, but with a very small organisation. I may not be offered the job, but I have to be clear in my mind what I will do if I am, and I'm finding this very difficult! My options, if offered the job, are:

Tell them over the phone after they have made the offer.
Wait until the offer is in writing, but before I start the job to tell them.
Wait until 12 weeks to tell them.
Wait until I legally have to tell them.
Don't take the job.

My main concern is that if I tell them and they find a way to dismiss me, I will then be out of work, totally skint and possibly not even be eligible for Maternity Allowance if things do work out with the pregnancy. If I tell them at the offer stage, I will know their reaction and can stay in my current job if I feel that's the best thing to do.

I'm probably getting a bit ahead of myself here, but I'd love to know what you think! Thanks.

How quickly do you think you would be able to start the job? I think that a few weeks after you had started would be best, hopefully not too much after 12 weeks. That gives them time to get to know you and like you.

Thanks catsareevil, I guess the start date would be around the beginning of November, so all going well I'd be about 10 weeks by then. Maybe it would be reasonable to wait until the end of November? I think you're maybe right, telling them at the offer stage might put everyone in a tricky situation. My main concern is that it is a very small company, and I would hate to come across as sneaky and selfish.

I would leave it then. They arent allowed to take pregnancy into account, so telling them too soon doesn't help, and at worst puts them into a difficult position.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice and I think you're probably right, I just don't want to affect any relationship from the start by not being up front. This is playing on my mind so much, I think I need to try and forget about it for a few days at least!
