CV advice please? How to treat a career break?

DH is wanting to apply for jobs after a period self employed and before that a period as a SAHD.

On a CV where does the SAHD part sit? Does it go into professional experience or what?

My own CV was a lot easier!

Any advice gratefully received.

It should all be chronilogical with gaps explained, else it looks like he's trying to hide it and people will give up trying to work out all the dates.

DH has a period of employment followed by a career break followed by self employment. I will put the career break in between the two periods of employment to keep the chronology of it.
