I've been working full time now for over a year, I have a two year old and a ten year old. Due to lack of childcare I work evenings and weekends, I have a really stressfull and demanding job, and things are now starting to get on top of me, I want to be superwoman but i'm failing rapidly!! I am considering reducing my hours, but this is causing arguments with my husband with regards to income. I try to be organised but it just doesnt work, any tips anyone!!??

Been there-done that. Found it far too stressful and felt like I was no doing neither job well (motherhood or outside work). So I reduced my hours and am so happy I did. It was hard to have the reduction in income but my sanity was more important. I think we are all happier because of it.

Thanks for that, think I needed to hear it from someone else!, just been saying it to myself for so long and hoping things will get better, I think I need to accept that they wont, and concentrate on being content!

Thanks again.

Well is your DH doing 50% of all childcare and household chores. I suspect the answer is no.

Last year I reduced hours and grade ( and I wasn't even f/t to begin with) best thing I have ever done.

If reducing hours is going to cause too much problems then try to reduce workload, cost up getting a cleaner, sending out clothes for ironing and shopping delivered.
