I have been offered a self employment contract which in an area i have been employed in in the past but i have never been self employed before.

I am meeting with the company on Tuesday. What do i need to ask for in the contract ? Or when the contact arrives is there anything i should be looking out for?

Thanks

Yes quite a bit - if this is your first time get contract and take away to read.

Anything you don't know about post here. Also you local business link may have mentors who could help.

Also, if you are becoming self-employed, you need to inform HMRC and there will be additional admin burdens that you will need to comply with - predominantly self-assessment for tax, so make sure you take into account the fact that you will need to deduct your income tax & NI from any payments you receive (and possibly pay someone to prepare your tax return too).
