I have a few hours a week to spare to offer to take in ironing or to do some cleaning for another working mum. What could I expect to earn?

Have a look in the local shop window ads they'll tell you the rates your competition is on.

In West Berks I pay my cleaner £15 per hour and my ironing lady £5.70 per Kg. I have had several cleaners and have paid everything from £8 per hour to £15. I have to say the current £15 cleans to a higher standard in less time than anyone I have every had before - previous was 3 hours once a week at £10.50 per hour I now have 4 hours once a fortnight at £15 per hour.
