I'm being totally unreasonable (version 43 and a half)

Over the last 6-9 months several "friends" (ie parents whose children are at the same school) have been complaining about how broke they were, how hard it was to find a job, how difficult jobs were with children

So over the last few weeks I have decided to get some help in for my childminding (in the evening 3ish til 6ish)any one working could bring their children, I'd feed everyone at 5pm and homework would be supervised

I asked the first (and most desperate mum) no can't do that it will interfer with DD's activities (it would delay 1 by 15 mins of a 2 hr session and she could take DD to both of the other activities and come back - DD is 9btw)

I asked the second who said that having a meal as a family was too important to her to take a job in those hrs

Both very good reasons to refuse a job

Then both of them have since asked for work doing hrs when I don't need help emphasising that they are broke and will do anything

Well they won't do anything cos I offered them something and they refused.

So I'm not going to listen when they whinge about being broke

Nasty aren't I? And yes I do know I'm unreasonable (but my tooth hurts)

No, of course, prefectly reasonable.

PS Will you pay me to come and help you when its lunchtime nap and all the older kids are at school?

katymac · 08/12/2005 09:31
