Help me to stop freaking out....

I am going crazy at the moment. Due to start uni doing a PhD next week and settling my DS (10 months) and DD (3 years) into childminder and nursery. Having to do a mix of the two to make the most of free pre-school hours. It is just upsetting me so much to leave DS. I know DD will be fine but it is just making me feel like the worst mother in the world leaving my baby boy with someone else. Have no family nearby and even if we did they made it clear that they were not willing to help with childcare. Should I just jack it all in and become a SAHM?? Please give me some advice as just don't know what to do.

Give it a few weeks or months and see how you - and they - feel after that. You may find they settle in well after the initial phase and they might even enjoy the variety of carers. Honestly, it's usual and normal to feel a wrench but you should judge the situation once you've got over that initial wrench and seen whether it suits you all longer term. You are not a bad mother! Smile
