Filing a tax return

I have a small amount of income from the sales of an e-book I've written. I've been really lax about thinking about tax, as it's only a few hundred pounds and I don't work otherwise (therefore no tax to pay).
I should pull my finger out and file a tax return for 2010/11. Is that right? Have I missed a deadline?

No you haven't missed deadline. If you fill in paper return the deadline is 31st October and if you do it online you have until 31st January.
