Not really - my CIS boys all get theirs done in May / June as they are often owed thousands

midnightexpress · 15/08/2011 10:56

Dumb question - do you get the refund as soon as you've filed (or at least once they've checked it), or do you have to wait until after the deadline? I'm due a whacking refund and I've more or less completed mine for tax credits purposes but I haven't filed it yet.

ChasingSquirrels · 15/08/2011 10:56

refund comes through the system once the return is filed, so the earlier you file the earlier you will get the refund.

Oh thanks. Good to know.

About 3-10 days after I submit it (normally) straight into the bank with a statement following about a week later

Over £1000 takes a couple of weeks - depending on your return history
smaller ones are around 10 working days
WELL WORTH submitting early

My problem is I do OU, so my weekends are spent doing that. This was the first weekend I had no coursework
