I have just been sent to the jobcentres customer complience unit and was accused of having a partner (untrue by the way). They made me sign a statement saying i was single. Has anyone else experienced this and what happens next?. Please advise.

I think -I do not know- that they may be justcovering their backs-they are under a lot of pressure so they need to show they are doing their job

This can either be a routine check which is carried out on a random sample of customers or the result of a phone-call from someone who thinks you have a live in partner.Either way if you have done nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about.

They say they saw me in the town one more than one occassion in the town with a man. This man could only have been my brother so someone made a false complaint.
