Question about sickness and mat pay.....

Quick question going on mat leave at the end of aug, I think my sick pay is only stat my question is if mat pay is based on salary for the previous 15(?) weeks before leave does periods on stat sick pay reduce my mat pay entiltment?

Yes as its based on Gross Pay in the qualifying period.

SMP is not based on the previous weeks before leave. It's based on an 8 week period between weeks 17 and weeks 25 of your pregnancy. But it is based on whatever your pay is during that period, so if you were sick at that time and were on reduced pay, that will be taken into account.

It's a funny system really isn't it, I know someone who managed TWICE to get her annual salary that included annual bonus AND profit share into that window!
