I was thinking about him today and wondered if he has had any success on the jobseeking front?

I have been thinking about this too - how is the janh family doing?

tuesdayafternoon · 15/11/2005 11:58

The janh family are all doing very well, I think janh should be around after lunch, Mr Janh has been working for about 2 weeks now for a company in Blackpool and is enjoying it, I'm sure janh will fill you in in more detail later though!

Janh's DD1

Ooooh, hello, gb - thank you for thinking of us - and sis and Rhuby too! DD1 did mention this thread earlier but I wasn't online at the time and then forgot to look.

The job is great and he is loving lunchtimes in Blackpool (walking on the beach etc)(well, when the tide's out) but it's only a 3-month contract initially; he is doing some great stuff for them and they are v pleased but whether they will be pleased enough to make him permanent and increase the money in January remains to be seen.

Redundancy money came through today so that will eke things out a bit, but if things get really desperate I will put DS2 on ebay

ScummyMummy · 15/11/2005 23:10

How superb! I've been wondering if all was well and hoping it was. Really good to hear it is.

Aw, thanks, scummy

Sorry, YG, still haven't organised meself - and I've just realised that it's right at the end of my 2nd week of training for new job (Mon 21/11 - Fri 2/12) - is it on the Friday or the Saturday?

Aero · 15/11/2005 23:13

Ooh - another thread I've clearly missed. Glad to hear dh has a new job though and hope it might become permenant. Lovely to see dd1 post too - hello Jan's dd1.

Was thinking about you today for some reason Janh - to do with having four children spaced appropriately for me (not them) I think. Still not convinced I should go for four though - not to mention that dh would probably leave me if I were to tell him there would be another little Aero - lol. (He wouldn't really).

OK, YG, will consult with DD.

Aero, what age are yours now? What age are you? I definitely wanted 4 for years and years and as soon as I had 4th I felt complete and happy to stop (good job really as I was 42 by then but loads of people have them much older than that). DH did need quite a bit of convincing to go for 4 mind you.

Aero · 16/11/2005 12:22

Lol - Tbh, I think I'm happy enough with three - just that I always thought I wanted four if that makes sense. Dh and I are both 35, so time is marching on, but not too much of a worry just yet. Ds1 is seven (eight in March), dd is 5.5 and ds2 will be two in January. I have no desire whatsoever to be pregnant atm and the thought of having a baby in the house again scares me to death - just for the tiredness and stress factors and coping with three is hard enough as it is. Having said all that, I'm just not quite prepared to 'shut the factory' as it were, for good yet and am not ready to allow dh to have the snip (which he's more than happy to go through and for that I'm gratful). Strange isn't it? I don't think I want another, but I'm not 100% sure - just 99.999999999999999!

Terrific news Janh, hope he gets made permanent. What's not to love I am very sure...
Still willing and happy to help with LG/HE job-seeking intelligence if required...the sort of stuff that you won't find on the website!
