What does the16 hours threshold for tax credits mean?

Can somebody please tell me what the 16 hour a week threshold means when applying for tax credits? Is it if i work 16 and over i am entitled or 16 and under? Thanks

for working tax credits it is 16 hours or more. I think you can get child tax credit if you work less, but it's not as much money

To claim WTC you need to work 16 hrs or more.You will still get CTC if you work less than 16 hrs.

so do you get CTC and WTC if working 16+ hours? I am waiting to hear on a new job which is 15 hours - should I ask for an extra hour? thanks!
