Hi

I'm thinking of all options that may help me not having to return to a full time job I don't enjoy at a company I don't like!!! My DS starts school in September so I'd really like to be around for him and also take care of my DD as I never had the opportunity to do this with DS due to financial constraints.

I can't afford not to work but if I can find something that can net £500 + a month my DH and I can probably make it work.

Has anyone got experience of home working or party selling such as Usbourne Books, Jamie at home etc and if so, how realistic are the potential earnings - is it worth giving up evenings etc??

Any tips, experiences you can share would be much appreciated!

Hi Shuv - I'm involved in one of these businesses (not one that you named). Basically, it would be possible to earn this, but would take a huge amount of effort. I think it is worth giving up evenings - I do a few different kinds of selling, but parties are definitely the best as people are there to buy (mostly), rather than at other events where they want to spend 50p on a second hand book! To achieve those sorts of figures you would also need to think about building a team. It can be done if you are dedicated!
