The Law Society Mat Policy

I have searched and googled this with no success, so hoping mnetters can help! I am not pg yet but DW and I are on a waiting list for donor sperm.

I currently work in LG and have built up 1.5yrs service so qualify for the full contractual mat leave which is quite generous. However, I am currently in the last stage of the recruitment process for a non-legal job with the Law Society (HQ in Redditch) - does anyone know what their mat policy is? And how long to do you have to work there before you clarify for contractual mat leave?

Thanks, C xx

I know someone who's gone back to work after 2nd mat leave. Not sure about the qualifying period but the maternity pay is very good - full pay for 6 months then statutory for a further 3 months. She was off for 13 months both times (including accrued holiday leave at full pay). She gets childcare vouchers too.

Thanks - that is v generous! Hopefully the qualifying period won't be more than 1 yr & tbh, I would prob wait as the entitlement is worth it!
