Returning to work after Post Natal Depression

Just wondered if anyone has advice for me as my DS is nine months old, I went back to work for about two weeks before submitting finally that I was not coping and that everything was spiralling out of control again (have had depression before pregnancy).

Just wondered what would be a sensible way to try to return to work. I am still not sleeping past 3am so am sleeping then from about 8am to 1pm(once DH takes DS to childminder). Thinking though that maybe work could return the balance of sleeping at night not during the day?

Have emailed HR Manager and waiting for reply.

Problem is I managed one person before I became ill with PND and do not feel well enough yet to return to work PLUS manage someone else's learning (as he had no experience in my field of work). Have let HR know that perhaps management at this time may not be a good option (neither salary nor job title changed when given management responsibilities so do not think they can deduct salary or anything?)

Anyone have experience in returning to work after PND?

On a positive note returning to work is what "cured" my PND. It made me speak to people and go outside things i wasn't doing at home on my own. It was part time, I think full time would have been to much. It sounds like you really need something to get you in to a better routine/ pattern.
