Work premises have burned down!

Where do employees stand?

Is a national employer but no other branches near by. Not a job that can be done in another building, even temp until our building is re-built (if thats what they decide to do). So upset, all our work gone in a matter of minutes. Happened early yesterday morning. Been told very little other than stay at home and we will be in touch. Should we get paid for this week?

So pissed off on a selfish level as was a great job with fantastic hours and great location for me.

No advice but hope you get sorted soon. Think this fire was very near me (ash on my car yesterday morning!) and was wondering myself what would happen to employees.

You will still get paid, they will reassign them to other branches or possibly get them to help out rebuilding depending on the work.

If they don't rebuild them its a normal redundancy procedure.
